Morning Announcements
Sports:
The Green Hope Men's Tennis Team defeated Scotland County in the first round of the State Playoffs by a score of 6-0. They will host Hoggard in the second round on Tuesday, May 13th.
Applications for the Green Hope Athletic Booster Club Scholarship are available now. You may pick up one in the guidance office. Applications are due to be returned by May 9th.
General:
Attention All Seniors: If you have not ordered your cap and gown or announcements the front office has a limited amount you may purchase. The cap and gown are $65.00 and announcements are $15.00. Please make check payable to Herff Jones.
Driver Education classes will begin on Monday, May 12th.
Marching Band battery percussion and front ensemble auditions will be on Monday, May 5 th , Friday, May 9 th and Wednesday May 21st from 3:30-6:30 in the high school band room. Students must be enrolled in a band or percussion class.
Attention all students that have off campus lunch passes: If you return late from lunch your pass can be revoked.
Are you interested in joining the Fall Colorguard? Auditions will be held on May 5th, 7th and 9th in the Green Hope High Commons Area from 3:30-4:30. Anyone interested should plan to attend. Students, especially with dance or guard experience, are encouraged to audition. Wear clothes that you can move and dance in.
If you need a tutor to help with your homework, or would like to tutor another student, fill out a Homework Center application in Student Services.
NEWS FROM STUDENT SERVICES:
There are several new scholarships that are available in Student Services. These scholarships came in after the scholarship newsletter had been updated. The scholarships newly available are: Raleigh Chapter NHAA Hampton University , Cary Visual Arts Scholarship, Friends of Guardian Ad Litem, Paul Stahl Scholarship, and two scholarships for the Cary Central Rotary Club. If you are interested in receiving applications for these scholarships, please come to Student Services to receive the information.
If you are interested in getting involved over the summer, be sure to check out the list of college preparation opportunities currently available on the Student Services website by clicking “Enrichment Opportunities” or you can stop by the Student Services office to review the postings. Don't miss out.
CLUB NEWS:
Attention MSA Members: We will be having our next meeting on Friday, May 16th at 3:10 in room 206. We will have elections and discuss plans for next year.
Attention Key Club Members: There will be a mandatory meeting on Friday, May 9 at 6:00pm in the Teachers parking lot. Join us for a special presentation with music and prizes.
Want to get some exercise and have fun doing it? The APH Club is offering Zumba fitness classes every Wednesday in the dance room from 3:30-4:00. Everyone is welcome.
Attention Future Teachers of America: We will have a meeting today at 3:10 in room 206. We will have elections for next year.
