Sports:
Attention Students: Coach Chadwick and Coach Greene will be holding a 10 minute meeting for students that want to try out for the boy's soccer team next year. The meeting will be Monday, June 2nd after school in the Commons Area.
Any football player who has not picked up a Wake Forest summer camp registration form, please see Coach Katz.
Anyone who would like to be a football manager for the 2008 season, please see Coach Katz in room 210 or 214 for information. Be a part of the team!
General:
Students, you MUST bring your student ID to school on Tuesday to pick up your yearbook. We will not hold up the line while you find your photo in the yearbook to identify yourself. If you do not have your ID, you will be sent to the back of the line. PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR IDS ON TUESDAY.
Attention Students: This is a reminder that any student wishing to go to their car during the day must have a signed pass. No students will be permitted to their vehicle without a pass during the school day.
Any students that were unable to make the recent AP US History meeting should plan to attend a make-up session today after school. Summer assignment will be distributed.
Any students taking AP Biology next year needs to pick up their summer assignment in room 3200 today after school or Monday, June 2nd.
The last day to order yearbooks is today. Go to Ms. Hart's room 3210 before 7:50am with a $75.00 check made out to Green Hope. Yearbooks will be given out on Tuesday, June 3rd . Seniors can pick up their yearbooks during the Senior Field Day and everyon else can pick them up in the cafeteria during lunch. You must have your school ID to get your yearbook.
Attention students who are taking English AP-12 next year are required to complete a summer assignment. To get a copy of this assignment, students should go to either Student Services and ask for a copy of the assignment or go to room 3218 where a folder has been posted containing the assignment. For any questions, please see Mr. Kesterson or Mrs. Kramer.
If you are taking AP English 11 next year and have not picked up your summer assignment, you must see Ms. Collins in room 2206 as soon as possible.
All those taking AP chemistry next year, need to attend an informational meeting today or Monday, June 2nd after school at 3:10 in room 2326 to pick up your summer assignment and a textbook. If you cannot attend either of these days, please see Ms. Reed to collect the required material.
Attention to all Seniors: Monday, June 2nd between 7:30-9:00 and 2:00-4:00 will be the day that you will be able to pick up your passes for field day. If you don't pick up your pass then, you will not be permitted to leave.
Student Council Elections for the 2008-2009 school year; will be held this Wednesday and Thursday morning before first period and Thursday during lunch. You must have a school ID to vote. Please take the time to cast your vote.
Attention all Students: The Media Center is closed all week for inventory, including lunch.
Attention Seniors: The Senior Awards Ceremony will be held on June 3rd at 9:00am in the main gym. Any brothers or sisters that also attend Green Hope High School wishing to attend this ceremony will need to go to Student Services to receive a pass. The deadline for receiving a pass is May 30th.
AP Statistics Students: Please stop by Mrs. Lassiter's room to sign a form and pick up the summer assignment. If you do not stop by you are still held responsible for the assignment.
Attention All Seniors: If you have not yet picked up your cap and gown and announcements or have not yet ordered your cap and gown. Please go to the front office during lunches, before or after school. We only have a limited amount for purchase. The cap and gown are $65.00 and announcements are $15.00. If you are paying by check make check payable to Herff Jones.
Attention all students that have off campus lunch passes: If you return late from lunch your pass can be revoked.
If you need a tutor to help with your homework, or would like to tutor another student, fill out a Homework Center application in Student Services.
NEWS FROM STUDENT SERVICES:
Attention all current Sophomores and Juniors: Are you looking for a way to get involved next year? Consider applying to be a mentor for the Falcon Success program. Approximately thirty upperclassmen will be chosen to help at-risk ninth graders with the transition to high school. If you enjoy helping others, this is a great opportunity for you. Information and applications are available in Student Services. The deadline to apply is today.
New Summer Enrichment Opportunities in Science and Business are now available. Visit Student Services for more details and to pick up an application.
Attention Seniors: It's not too late to turn in your orange Final Transcript Request Form. Also, it's important for Student Services to have all scholarship information. Whether or not you are accepting the award, we need to hear from every senior.
