WCPSS and Green Hope High School Headphone Policy

Effective March 30, 2005, WCPSS policy regarding headphone use in the classrooms will be enforced:

  • Headphones (Ipods, Walkman, MP3 players, etc.) may be only used before or after school. Headphone use will not permitted in classrooms during the instructional day or during lunch. Students should immediately remove and put headphones away when taking their seat in a classroom.

  • If a student has headphones in the classroom, teachers will ask for the device and turn it in to the campus discipline office. Failure to comply will result in a discipline referral for non-compliance.

  • Students will need to make an appointment with an administrator to have their headphones returned. Parents will be notified and informed of the student's actions.

  • A second violation of the policy will result in the headphones being returned only to a parent.
