Yearbooks can still be ordered through Ms.  Hart.  Students wishing to order a yearbook should bring a check for $75 made out to GHHS to room 3210 before or after school no later than May 30th.  No yearbooks will be sold on distribution day!  This is the last chance to order a yearbook and there are only 120 left!

 

08-09 AP English 11 Students: You must attend one of the following mandatory meetings in order to get your summer assignment and to learn important knowledge about the course.  If you do not attend the meeting, you are still held responsible for all information presented.  The meeting dates are on Monday, May 19th at 7:30 a.m. in room 2206 or Tuesday, May 20th at 3:15 p.m. in room 2206

100 PROCTORS!
Volunteers are again needed for the EOC testing on June 4th-6th and 9th.  As in the past, proctors must be registered with WCPSS as a volunteer and will be required at school promptly at 7:30am, for training, on the assigned day. If you are available to proctor one or more of these days please contact PTSA VP, Sharon Villafranca at svillafranca@wcpss.net . Thank you in advance for your time!

 

Senior Final Transcript & Scholarship Surveys were passed out on Thursday, May 1st. This form MUST be returned to Student Services by Wednesday, May 14th. Click here if you need a copy.

LIST OF GRADUATE NAMES:   This list contains the names of all the Seniors in the graduating class of 2008. Please look at your name to be certain that it is spelled correctly. Contact Mrs. Welsh at sknowles-welsh@wcpss.net if your name has been omitted or misspelled. Programs and diplomas will be printed May 16, 2008 and corrections will not be possible after that time. Honor Graduates:  Students on this list have achieved a weighted gpa of 3.5 or higher. They will be recognized by wearing a gold tassel on their cap at graduation and will have a symbol beside their name in the bulletin. Seniors can pick up the gold tassel on May 29th before school, at lunch or after school.   Click here to view the list.  Students should come to Student Services if they have questions.

NC Scholars:  Students on this list have achieved an unweighted gpa of 3.5 or higher and are graduating under the college/university course of study along with Chemistry, one Career and Technical class, one Arts Education class, 5 Elective credits that include 2 advanced or second level courses. Tryouts for the 2008-2009 Dance Team will take place on August 11th & 13th from 9:00 a.m. until approximately 12:00 p.m. both days.  If you are interested in trying out, but did not make the informational meeting in April, then contact Nicole Southards nsouthards@wcpss.net or Kelli Stefanacci kstefanacci@wcpss.net in order to get the necessary forms.  Teacher evaluations must also be completed by the end of the school year, so don't wait until the last minute! 

(If you attended the informational meeting, notice the date change for actual tryouts... this is due to freshmen orientation being held on the 12th.)

 

2008 GRADUATION TICKETS

There will not be a lottery for graduation tickets this year. Each graduating senior will receive a total of 7 tickets at graduation practice. If you have extras, please share with friends that will be in need of more than 7. There will not be any extras from the school.
